This is the Basic Security Officer Training Course required to obtain the proper DCJS certification to work as an Unarmed Security Officer or an Armed Security Officer in the State of Virginia. The course curriculum consists of the following subjects:
- DCJS Rules and Regulations
- Law (as it pertains to Security Officers and the State of Virginia)
- Courtroom Procedure
- Report Writing
- Patrol Tactics
- Access Control
- Communication
- Emergency Procedures
- Confrontation Management
- Use of Force
