TEAM AWARENESS KIT (TAK) + goTenna
TAK for Tactical Commanders and Operational Leaders
What It Is: TAK for the Tactical Commanders and Operational Leaders provides training and instruction to incorporate TAK into the operation planning and execution. Training will be tailored to match the use-cases for the student’s home agency mission, to include large scale operations that manage hundreds or thousands of end-users (NSSE, SEAR, manhunt, natural disaster response and recovery operations, etc.). The course features:
- TAK Executive Overview - Executive overview of the TAK infrastructure, to include ATAK, iTAK, WinTAK, and the goTenna Pro App.
- goTenna Capability Overview – Executive overview of the goTenna ProX2 mesh radio, Pro Deployment Kit 2, Relay Edge, Software Development Kit, and latest plug-ins.
- Maximize TAK and goTenna Investments – Senior leader-level training on how to maximize TAK and goTenna capabilities in a way that increases operational efficiencies, situational awareness, and operator safety.
- Using TAK in the Command Post – Focused training utilizing WinTAK, ideal for tactical operation centers, mobile command centers, and hasty command posts.
- Drones, Aircraft, Balloons, and Towers – An overview showing how unmanned aerial systems, manned aircraft, high-altitude balloons, and towers can be integrated into creating a robust and resilient mesh network.
- Account for Anticipated Comms Challenges – Advantages and limitations of utilizing TAK in connected and disconnected environments, how to plan for it, and how ensure situational awareness is maintained in the command post.
- Operational Considerations in Urban, Suburban, and Rural Environments – Subject matter expert-level best practices and techniques to ensure TAK and goTenna capabilities complement operations in urban, suburban, and rural terrains.
- Options for Large Scale Operation Management – Overview of the Sit(x) application (AWS GovCloud certified) and how it can be leveraged to manage hundreds or thousands of TAK users more efficiently than a traditional TAK server.
