Executive Protection

Emergency medical care for the client or protectee is a competency that is sometimes overlooked in the area of executive protection assignments. It's a critical subject that needs to be covered in your planning process before starting an executive protection detail, even if your client is in excellent health. We recognize this gap in training and can provide training needed to effectively care for the injured or ill principal. We offer a variety of courses that provide nationally recognized certification in a timeframe to meet your needs.

Executive Protection – Basic Medical Training Course

The EP – BMTC course is designed to provide basic medical training including CPR, AED, First Aid, and Tactical Trauma Care to executive protection personnel. This 1-day (8 hour) course will cover topics ranging from CPR and AED use, common medical emergencies and management, and MARCH assessment and treatment. This course will also delve into secondary injuries and treatments that may be encountered while they perform their job duties in providing protection to clients of all age groups. Students will participate in immersive & realistic hands-on learning stations to reinforce the in-class information covered. Students will be placed into a simulated event to allow for them to put all of their skills and knowledge acquired throughout this course into action. Following successful completion of this course, students will obtain two certifications (American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED and NAEMT Tactical Emergency Casualty Care – LEO).

Executive Protection of the Geriatric Principle

Two-day medical training developed specifically for executive protection teams that are charged with protection of geriatric principles. Medical training for executive protection teams generally focuses of trauma care such as Tactical Combat Casualty Care. While this type of training is important, it unfortunately does not focus on the more common emergencies that executive protection teams in charge of geriatric principles may encounter. This course focuses on changes that geriatric principles may experience with age. It also focuses heavily on the assessment of the geriatric patient, common medical emergencies, and common traumatic injuries that the geriatric principle may suffer. This course is designed to prepare the executive protection team to provide initial care and management of the geriatric principle until care can be transferred to higher level medical providers. As part of this course the executive protection team will also have access to experienced EMS providers who can provide advice and information on medical kit components and additional tools used to streamline care between the executive protection team and other medical providers.
