Global Awareness and Safety Training (G.A.S.T.)
Summit Point Training Facility offers Global Awareness and Safety Training (G.A.S.T.) to prepare individuals for travel in high-risk environments. Through hands-on, scenario-based learning and expert instruction, participants gain practical skills, risk mitigation strategies, and heightened awareness tailored to today’s global challenges.

TIER 3: 3-4 HOURS VIRTUAL OR IN-PERSON
Audience: Occasional travelers (1–3 trips per year) to relatively stable regions.
Format: On-site at SPTF or hosted locally with Mobile Training Team (MTT).
This entry-level training introduces participants to foundational security awareness concepts. It is ideal for infrequent travelers visiting low-threat environments. The training is designed to spark interest and serve as a gateway to more advanced tiers.

TIER 2: IN-PERSON 3-DAY COURSE
Audience: Frequent travelers or those visiting moderately austere environments.
Format: On-site at SPTF or hosted locally with Mobile Training Team (MTT).
This intermediate-level course provides an expanded curriculum, including region-specific intelligence, travel preparation, and introductory hands-on components. When hosted at the client’s location, a pre-event site survey is required to assess classroom space and technical capacity. Hands-on elements may be modified based on available resources.
- Includes introductory medical skills and self-defense training.
- Scalable for client-hosted events with sufficient participants.
TIER 1: IN-PERSON 5-DAY COURSE (at SPTF)
Audience: High-frequency travelers or personnel deploying to high-risk environments.
Format: Fully immersive, in-person training at SPTF.
This advanced course delivers the most comprehensive GAST experience. Participants receive extensive hands-on training in emergency first aid, unarmed self-defense, defensive driving techniques, and live-fire familiarization. Tier 1 is intended for individuals operating in environments with heightened security postures.

“KNOW BEFORE YOU GO” MODULE (INCLUDED IN ALL TIERS)
Each GAST course includes a location-specific intelligence module using unclassified, open-source information. This segment provides critical pre-travel awareness, including:
- Current travel advisories.
- Emergency contact resources.
- Local navigation tools and maps.
- Crime trends, terrorist threats, and relevant political developments.
